Hi everyone, as you probably know this is my first post so try to be gentle with me! My V40 2001 gdi has a low tickover around 300-500rpm i could live with it but anyone know what it could be? (Throttle body, lambda's, temp sensor etc), is there a cable and software i could get to check out the fault log, (i've already got vag-com for my golf). Thanks in advance.

If its anything like the T4 engine then check the throttle cable, you can adjust this and tighten it up to raise your idle speed

You need to get it on a scanner that can show live data and read off the fuel pressure. If it drops below 4Mpa then the fuel pressure regulator (on the early ones) or the high pressure pump (regulator is in the pump on the later ones) will need replacing.
