Are there any nasty surprises in store when I remove the N/S Headlamp so I can fit a new ( to me ) headlamp I looked on site and in the "usuless" Haynes Manual and cannot find any imformation. Also the adjusters ( using an Allen Key ) do not seem to have any effect on the beam height etc, which one is up / down and which is left / right . Any advice would be welcome as this is my first Volvo ....( I've always had Fords for the last 30 years in fact I've still got a Cosworth 2.9 24v Scorpio BUT I PREFERE MY VOLVO 850 :Banane32: and would love an 850 R..... ):Banane59:

I removed mine a couple of yearsago, can't remember any great difficulties doing it. Sorry cannot be more specific but it was reasonably simple if I could do it.

I removed both mine last week. No problems. Just unclip the lower headlamp shrowd and point the headlamp wiper out the way. It then hops over the shrowd once you have disconnectoed the cables. Three bolts, Dead easy
