Don't you think that the rating (Euroncap) is not so beautiful? What do you think?

Well the old S40 was the safest car in it's class that NCAP tested and the new one gets a full 5 star rating so they seem pretty good to me - which part of the test don't you like? Cheers, John

Hi I know what you mean in your last sentence, that is why i purchased my 1st Volvo a S40 incidently (the safest car in its class at that time) Take a look at the "Which?" car safety test and ratings they go beyond the NCAP criteria,and may clear a queries you have Steve

Hi Vale The Which? safety rating gives a points score,no maximum limit. The Ford Focus sores 11 Ths S40 scores 13.5 Highest is the Audi A8 14 hope this helps Steve

Good news. I think its worth the extra over a Focus to be safe. A wise choice and best of luck. Jim
